The second minor update for Vivaldi 7.5, which was published six days ago, was just released. This update is unique since it fixes a number of flaws that are quite bothersome to the user, even if little updates like this might not elicit much excitement.
Among the fixes are problems with moving tabs, mail display anomalies, and correctly activating the camera when using Google Meet. You won't have to put up with obnoxious issues until the next major update thanks to these small ones.
The most noticeable problem was probably that the camera would not turn on while attempting to utilize Google Meet, which is an essential tool for some people's remote meetings and work. The issue was related to permissions not being granted during the activation process.
Tab management is another issue that has been fixed. Vivaldi was experiencing a problem with tabs being duplicated when they were dragged to a new window. Another problem was that new tabs in stacks were losing their colors. The user process should be enhanced by these fixes.
This version also fixed two issues with the mail client: first, users were encountering needless threading warnings, and second, there was a constant exclamation icon without any visible defects. Now that these two issues have been resolved, the integrated mail client's experience has improved.
The address bar was shifting when users were holding down Ctrl and dragging, but this has finally been fixed. Scrolling problems on websites have also been resolved. Specifically, the scrolling improvement should improve site navigation.
You can now download the latest update, which should shortly be applied automatically. To manually update, simply select Help > Check for Updates from the Vivaldi menu. Update as soon as possible if any of the bugs have affected you.
