Apple has officially announced the permanent closure of its Apple Partridge Creek retail store, located in Clinton Township, Michigan—just outside of Detroit. The store’s final day of operation will be Saturday, August 16, with doors closing for the last time at 8:00 PM local time.
Originally opened in 2007, Apple Partridge Creek has served the local community for over 17 years. The company confirmed that all store employees will have opportunities to continue their roles within Apple, ensuring a smooth transition for the team.
In a message shared on the store’s official webpage, Apple thanked the community:
"Thank you, Partridge Creek. Apple Partridge Creek is closing on August 16 at 8pm. We're still here for you. Please visit apple.com/retail to find your nearest store."
🏙️ A New Chapter in Detroit
The closure comes as Apple prepares to expand its presence in Michigan with a brand-new retail location in Downtown Detroit. Situated on Woodward Avenue near Grand River Avenue, the upcoming store is expected to open later this year. It marks a significant move as Apple strengthens its urban footprint in Detroit’s central business district.
In the meantime, customers in the northern Detroit metro area can visit Apple Somerset in Troy, which will become the closest Apple Store once Partridge Creek shutters.
