Samsung will release three sizes of the Galaxy S26 series, but not a "Plus" variant this time.

Samsung responded to the growing demand of thin phones with the Galaxy S25 Edge. Prior to its May 13 unveiling, the phone was teased on a few occasions. Everyone thought it was just another phone in the S-series family, but according to a May rumor, Samsung had a different idea.

According to reports, Samsung intended to use the Edge model to replace the "Plus" model from the S-series. Why? Despite having more features than the "Edge," the "Plus" model performed the worst out of the group.

Now, a second report from The Elec has surfaced online, supporting this alleged tactic. According to reports, the Korean tech giant has begun developing three Galaxy S26 models: the normal Galaxy S26, the thin Galaxy S26 Edge, and the high-end Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to ship in around six months.

Additionally, the news source revealed the forthcoming models' display sizes. Notably, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might have a 6.89-inch panel, the Galaxy S26 Edge a 6.66-inch panel, and the Galaxy S26 itself a 6.27-inch display. It is anticipated that all S26 series models will have rounded corners, just like earlier models.

The basic Galaxy S26 may have a slightly larger display than the S25 (6.2-inch), according to the display sizes. Base versions are adopting the same trend and are no longer a little offering, with premium models now approaching 7 inches.

That's not all, though. The top-tier S26 Ultra's camera specifications have been made public by reliable news source WinFuture. The source claims that it will have a 50MP telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom in addition to a 200MP primary camera. However, similar to this year's Galaxy S25 Edge, the Galaxy S26 Edge will have a 50MP ultrawide camera.
