For GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows, QOwnNotes is an open source (GPL) plain-text notepad that supports markdown and functions as a to-do list organizer. It can optionally be used in conjunction with ownCloud's (or Nextcloud's) notes application. With QOwnNotes, you may jot down your ideas and then modify or search for them later using the ownCloud web-service or your mobile device (much as with CloudNotes). You can use your ownCloud sync client to sync the notes, which are saved as plain text files. Of course, you can also use alternative programs like BitTorrent Sync, Seafile, Syncthing, or Dropbox.

Changes in QOwnNotes 25.7.4:
- With enabled libgit2 support, the amount of note versions gathered from the local git repository was limited to 100 to prevent performance issues with huge note folders and lots of git commits (for #3296)
- The drawmode property assignment for the toolbars was removed to fix the warning
- QTabBar(0x3121e2c0, name="qt_tabwidget_tabbar") does not have a property named "drawbase" on newer Qt versions (for #3319)
